Personal History I, Alma Flora Edwards was born 25 Sep 1912 in Beaver, Utah. My Parents are Moses Melvin Edwards and Florence Ellen Bowers. When I was a baby my parents moved to Manderfield, Utah. There at age three I rode a run away horse. As the years passed I was known as the "Wild Girl of Borneo" when on horse back. I rode well but recklessly at times. While still young I cut my long golden curls, which were my mothers pride and glory. I then hid the curls behind the trunk thinking my mother wouldn't know. The first years at Manderfield were happy ones. We attended church regularly. My father was superintendent and later first counsler to the Presiding Elder, Thadeous Baldwin in the Manderfield Branch. My had some land he had Homesteded which we lived on during the summer for a few years. In the winter we lived at our small but comfortable home in Manderfield. My Uncle Edgar(Dads brother) and Aunt Kathleen with their boys Cecil and Vivian lived down through the field on his land, called Big Hollow. We traveled the trail between our homes many times. When I was about 6 my family moved to Sulphurdale, Utah. Here I met my childhood girlfriend Lois Monroe. We had so many happy times together.
